The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, demons, and sinister influences increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This results in them few options but to travel to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
